Role Overview
You will drive new business across assigned US territories by selling PPG’s economic modeling research-writing services. Your focus will be on decision-makers, who have budget, working in corporate and non-profit organizations within teams focused on public policy and government relations/affairs, as well as at potential partners working at third-party consulting firms/agencies that are focused on lobbying policymakers or on PR/communications (to provide our services to their clients).

Key Responsibilities
• Identify, target, and engage prospective clients.
• Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies to generate qualified leads and close new business.
• Present and articulate the value of PPG’s economic modeling and research services, demonstrating how our insights support policy advocacy.
• Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers and third-party consultants.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting and needs assessment, working with the PPG team on proposal development and negotiation, and then close the deal.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress in CRM systems.
• Collaborate with the PPG team to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
• Stay informed about policy trends, regulatory developments, and industry challenges relevant to target clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• B2B sales experience in professional services, ideally economic consulting or related consulting fields.
• Demonstrated success in a heavily commission-based or independent sales environment.
• Strong understanding of the consulting sales cycle and the needs of potential clients.

• Proficient with CRM and virtual collaboration tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Experience selling to clients in our ideal customer profile.
• Existing network within our ideal customer profile.
• Familiarity with economic modeling and research.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPP) is a plus.
