An independent occupational health and safety expert report

Job ID: 39165575

Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD

My business is based in Ryde - restaurant, bar and indoor mini golf. I was flooded for the third time in late January, this time 3-4 waste water pipes burst flooding my venue. We are now closed.

Given the amount of waste water which entered my premises as a result of the incident, the entire venue smells badly and my builder has already identified significant mould (which also smells) in addition to all of the building and remediation work that will be required to open for trading again.

I require a report that answers the following questions:
a. As they are, without any rectification work undertaken, could my premises safely and in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislative Occupational Health and Safety standards, regulations and requirements and public liability requirements, open for trade in the provision of retail food and beverage services?
b. If your answer to (a) is “no”, please detail the relevant factors present at the premises which presently prevent me from safely reopening and trading as usual.
c. At a minimum, not taking into account building and fit out remediation and rectification works that may be required in order to best suit the premises for successful trade, what are the Occupational Health and Safety issues and public liability issues that I need to address.
d. If you are able to, could you please provide an estimate of the likely cost of addressing the issues you may refer to in answer to question (c) above.

I have a brief provided by my lawyer, but apart from qualifications and a declaration, this is the content. I have attached one of the images - my other files are videos which are too big to attach here.
