Rust Hash Algorithm Speed Optimization

I'm seeking a Rust expert to optimize a implemented (but unoptimized) cryptographic hashing algorithm. The hash algo is memory hard, the optimization will be for cpu. The goal/target is to double hash/sec and the result must be verifiable by benchtest(provided).
