Rust Developer for Backend Sprint

Job ID: 40460598

Budget: $40 – $100 USD

I’m kicking off a short, high-intensity sprint to replace our current Python service with a Rust implementation. The goal is clear: deliver a production-ready backend that is faster, rock-solid, and easy to maintain.

Top priority is optimized performance—latency has to drop and throughput must climb—yet the codebase should remain clean and reliable so future iterations are painless. Security and scalability still matter, but they can’t slow us down during this first pass.

You’ll pair with our in-house developers, review the existing Python logic, map the critical paths, then translate them into idiomatic Rust. Expect to write thorough unit tests, expose familiar endpoints, and hook the new binary into the same deployment pipeline so that integration and rollout feel seamless to the rest of the team.

Deliverables:
• Fully functional Rust service mirroring current features
• Unit tests covering core routes and edge-case logic
• Integration guide detailing build, run, and deploy steps

If you thrive under tight deadlines and know how to squeeze every microsecond out of Rust, let’s move fast.
