Cross-Platform Rust Consultant for NeuralTray -- 2

We're seeking an expert Rust consultant to lead packaging, deployment, and system integration for NeuralTray—a cross-platform, system-level Rust application used for activity monitoring and secure data sync.

Key Responsibilities:

Build cross-platform installers:

Windows: MSI/NSIS with autostart, background services, code signing

macOS: DMG/PKG with notarization, permissions, and background access

(Optional) Linux: .deb/.rpm or AppImage/Snap

Implement secure auto-update mechanism with rollback/version control

Manage OS-level permissions (e.g., screen recording on macOS)

Integrate installers into CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

Ensure installer UX (splash, prompts, consents)

Provide detailed internal documentation

Must-Have:

5+ years Rust experience with system-level and cross-platform development

Hands-on with packaging/signing tools (NSIS, pkgbuild, codesign, etc.)

CI/CD, OS permissions, and secure deployment expertise

Nice-to-Have:

Background apps (e.g., screen capture)

Compliance-heavy domain experience

Linux packaging or embedded systems

Contract Deliverables:

Installation architecture (Win/macOS)

Signed installers

Auto-update system

CI/CD setup
