Web Developer for Blog Content Republishing
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
As a client, I'm looking to hire a skilled and experienced web developer who can effectively retrieve all the text-based blogs from my old website via the Wayback Machine archive for the purpose of republishing them on a new blog. It appears the best tool for doing this requires experience in Ruby.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Downloading the old content including all the formatting, such as font styles, headers, hyperlinks, images etc.
- Ensuring the downloaded data can easily be copy-pasted for future republishing on a new blog at a later date.
The ideal freelancer should be:
- Proficient in Ruby
- Experienced in dealing with Wayback Machine archives
- Adept at handling text formatting and preserving visuals during data transfer.
A seasoned background in web development, especially in tasks involving content migration, is highly preferable for this role. Good communication skills and the ability to deliver within deadlines will be beneficial.
