The DSUp Voting Portal
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I need a Ruby on Rails developer to help me code a demo app as part of a nonprofit I am mounting. The app is called The Voting Portal, and it allows voters to join a Direct Legislature for their US Congressional District, and, among other things, vote directly on federal legislation. I have started outlining the functions the app needs. I'm always adding to it, so I'll give you the link to my Google Drive doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vToce2q2RRUo57xDLu7ZpSdrGcAqGvMoljzpQLMD13BwcIOCuyLqhNmpXvRc3Vsuq5y59Qb8pjUQsVs/pub I know a bit of Ruby on Rails, but not enough to do it on my own. I have a clear idea of what the app needs to do, it's just a matter of execution. I'm looking for a side-by-side coding situation, using something like TeamViewer, or what you will. Good candidates will have an affordable hourly rate, will be able to work at least a few hours a day, most days, between the hours of 13:00 and 0:200 UTC, wherever you may be in the world. Also, you will be working side by side with me, so you'll need to have patience and a sense of humor! And we'll be communicating in English, so hopefully you are down with that. I slapped together a dinky little webpage to give people something to look at. DemocracyStraightUp.Org So, if you're curious you can read a bit more about the project.
