Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I am looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer and Automation Testing professional who specializes in using Cucumber to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions. The ideal tutor will help me build a strong understanding of automating tests in a Ruby on Rails environment, using Cucumber for BDD (Behavior Driven Development).

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized tutoring sessions on Ruby on Rails development with a focus on Cucumber testing.
• Guide me through setting up and using Cucumber for writing automated tests, including creating scenarios and step definitions in Gherkin.
• Help me understand the best practices for test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Support me in building and maintaining test suites, debugging, and integrating tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
• Offer guidance on related testing tools like RSpec, Capybara, and Selenium if needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Ruby on Rails development and automation testing.
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber and writing tests in Gherkin syntax.
• Strong understanding of BDD and TDD methodologies.
• Experience with setting up test environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to teach complex topics in a clear and structured way.
• Excellent communication skills and patience for tutoring.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in one-on-one tutoring or mentoring.
• Knowledge of other Ruby testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Capybara).
• Familiarity with frontend and backend testing strategies.

Schedule:
I am looking for flexible tutoring sessions, preferably remote via Zoom or another online platform, and I am available for scheduling based on mutual convenience.
Please send your resume or LinkedIn profile, along with your tutoring experience and a brief outline of how you plan to structure the sessions. If possible, share any relevant projects or examples where you’ve implemented Cucumber in a Ruby on Rails environment.

I look forward to learning from you!
