Make CAS authentication work with Redmine (Ruby on Rails)

In a linux (SUSE) server we have installed Redmine application (Ruby on Rails). We use an Omniauth CAS plugin to allow users to login in Redmine using their CAS server authentication.
This is working correctly in the customer's test server but not in their production server. We believe this has to do with a squid proxy that is installed in the production server and avoids the proper response between CAS server and Redmine application.
