Design Changes:
- Prioritize improved functionality over a modernized look
- Make changes to the design that improve the overall user experience

Ruby on Rails Requirements:
- As the client, I am not sure about specific requirements for the framework. I am open to the freelancer's discretion in choosing the appropriate versions and gems.

Skills and Experience:
- Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
- Proven track record in improving user experiences and functionality
- Familiarity with product placement models and design principles
