Role Breakdown:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer who can take ownership of our technical stack & help scale Goldie into a world-class platform. Our core stack includes Ruby on Rails, Typescript, React, & AWS, so we need someone with deep experience in these technologies to refine, optimize & expand our infrastructure.
This role involves:
• Overseeing international development resources & ensuring best practices are followed
• Maintaining & optimizing the core platform to support rapid user growth
• Ensuring seamless integrations between frontend, backend & external APIs
• Scaling & securing infrastructure to handle increasing trade volumes
• Driving technical strategy & innovation to keep Goldie ahead of the curve
Role Overview:
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing & maintaining both the frontend & backend of our web applications. You will work closely with the founders & collaborate on design & product decisions. You will be a team of one & work closely with the founder to create seamless user experiences, jump regulatory hurdles, ensure the reliability & scalability of our systems, & generally get your hands dirty with everything. You will play an essential role in shaping the future of our product by leveraging your expertise in Ruby on Rails, Typescript, React, & AWS infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Full-Stack Development:
• Build & maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails for the backend & ReactJS for the frontend
• Ensure seamless integration between front-end & back-end systems
• Continuously optimize performance & scalability as user demand grows
API Development:
• Design, implement, & maintain both REST & GraphQL APIs that power the user interface
• Integrate with third-party APIs & data sources to enrich the application
• Work with financial & security-based APIs to ensure regulatory compliance
Infrastructure & Security:
• Utilize AWS services (ECS Fargate, S3, RDS) to deploy & scale applications efficiently
• Maintain high-security standards to protect user data & transactions
• Monitor & improve system performance, reliability & cost-efficiency
Collaboration:
• Work closely with others in the business to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Provide insights & technical expertise to shape product direction & roadmap
Troubleshooting & Debugging:
• Diagnose & resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Provide support & maintenance to ensure system reliability
