Basic eCommerce Site development

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Ruby on Rails developer to build a basic e-commerce application for our company. The ideal candidate should have experience with Ruby on Rails and e-commerce development. We are in the initial stage and there will be a possibility to be extended.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a basic e-commerce application using Ruby on Rails
- Create necessary models for user registration and product listings
- Develop functionality for a shopping cart and checkout process.
- Work with us to define and implement the product inerface and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Integrate with a simple payment gateway for checkout processing
- Ensure the application runs smoothly and reliably.
- Test the site for bugs and resolve any issues that arise.
- Document your work for future reference and updates

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Ruby on Rails development, preferably with a focus on e-commerce applications
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of SQL or another relational database system.
- Experience integrating with payment gateways.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages
- Strong unit test and debugging skills
