RPA Automation for Prescription Receipts
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Every day I handle a growing stack of paper prescriptions that must be keyed into our pharmaceutical receipt system. The only fields I need captured are the prescription details—drug name, dosage, quantity, prescriber, and date—nothing else. Manually entering this data is slow, error-prone, and keeps my team from higher-value tasks, so I want the entire process automated through an RPA workflow.
You’ll need to supply the optical character recognition layer because we don’t have any OCR technology in-house. I’m open to the engine you prefer—ABBYY, Tesseract, Azure Vision, UiPath Document Understanding—as long as it can read typical pharmacy handwriting with high reliability. Once the text is extracted, the bot should validate key fields, flag unreadable items for review, and then post the clean data straight into our receipt module (a desktop Windows application with standard form fields).

• Short video walk-through demonstrating the bot processing at least 25 sample prescriptions
Acceptance criteria
• ≥95 % field-level accuracy on a mixed set of handwritten and printed prescriptions
• Zero duplicate entries and clear exception handling for unreadable scans
• Execution time under 30 seconds per receipt on a mid-range workstation
• No third-party licensing surprises—please list any runtime costs up front
