Ghostwrite Adult Romance Short Story

Hi,
hope you’re doing well. I’m working on a story project and wanted to reach out.
I’m looking for help with a romantic story built around a young couple. I want it to feel emotional, intimate, and memorable, but not overly dramatic or too literary. Something simple but strong. The ending doesnt need to be happy either, bittersweet or a little unresolved is totally fine if it feels right.
The format is a bit specific:
- 5 main scenes
- the main scenes should feel more like voice narrations than long dialogue scenes
- in between those, I’d also need short little beats, almost like brief emotional voice moments
- total length would be around 1300 words
The biggest thing for me is the pacing. I want each main scene to leave something behind and make you want to keep going. So ideally every main scene should end with some kind of pull, curiosity, tension, or emotional shift. Not in a forced cliffhanger way, just something that makes the next part feel necessary.
For the shorter in-between beats, I’m imagining very compact lines or moments. Small, but still meaningful.
I’m pretty flexible while you’re writing, so I dont want to over-explain or control every detail. If the tone and emotional arc are working, I’m happy to give you space to shape it in your own way.
This probably wont be a one time thing either, because I’ll likely need more story work later on too. And if you have ideas for other kinds of stories or themes you enjoy writing, feel free to mention that as well.
