This is the plot:
Jin Tae-yang and Seo Mi-na grew up next door to each other in Busan. Since childhood, they’ve argued over everything—grades, games, food, pride—yet somehow never spend more than a day apart. To everyone around them, they are loud rivals. In truth, they are each other’s oldest habit.
Their ordinary dynamic changes when summer begins.
Tae-yang is sent to Seoul to stay with his older brother, who has landed a temporary job in the city. Mi-na also travels to Seoul after being accepted into a student academic program that could help her apply to schools there in the future. To their horror, they end up living in the same apartment building and seeing each other every day.
Neither of them is prepared for Seoul.
The city is too expensive, too fast, and impossible to navigate. They get lost on subway lines, waste money trying to look cool, accidentally attend private events, and come up with ridiculous scams to survive—including pretending to be honeymooners for free gimbap.
As they explore Seoul together, both begin changing.
Mi-na starts to imagine a future beyond Busan. She becomes serious about studying in Seoul and building her own life. Tae-yang, who always acted carefree, begins questioning what he actually wants and discovers a hidden talent for writing music.
At the same time, their childish fights become harder to separate from jealousy. New friends and romantic attention from others force them to see each other differently. Protective habits become lingering stares. Teasing turns into tension. Familiarity turns into first love.
