Robotic Arm expert, especially close loop stepper motors (CANBUS)

Job ID: 38798781

Budget: $5 – $15 USD

DO NOT use an AI to generate a generic bla bla bla reply. Please reply to me personally, and tell me why you are a perfect fit for this assignment.

Have your built any robots arms with close loop stepper motors before? If so, please show me some videos/pictures and let me know some information of the motors and controllers used.

Im building an robot arm, with ICL-stepper motors (Integrated Close Loop) controlled from an RPI4.
I have a guy working on the robot arm already, but he has gotten increasingly busy with his master degree.

I am not an electronic engineer, but mechanical, with only basic electronic knowledge. He and me have agreed to bring in a third brain to the project to support both me and current freelancer.

As it is now, we are stuck with a set of ICL-stepper motors (CANBUS) that do not performed as expected due to a flawed firmware (lacking SYNC and some low speed parameters, which the manufacturer also confirmed, so the motors are always slightly out of sync resulting in imperfect trajectory paths... So we must find new motors. We tried pulse driven ICL-steppers as well, They work okay, but these motors do not allow us to access the reading of the internal encoders which i see as a requirement, especially for future developments. I have found a new, but expensive ICL-motors with a built in multi-turn absolute encoder that looks promising.

This project vill grow, so there will be future assignments linked to this project we we works well together. We will hire you hourly basis to start with, and as we are on a really tight budget, low hourly fee will be an advantage as well as your past and documented robotic experience shown to me here.
