Compumotor 6K Dual-Axis Setup

Job ID: 40148527

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am at the very first configuration stage of a dual-axis motion system built around a Parker Compumotor 6K controller paired with GV6 servo drives. My development PC is already linked to the 6K, and for now only one axis is wired so we can prove out the process before adding the second.

Your mission is to jump on a remote session ( AnyDesk—whatever you prefer) and program the initial hardware connection setup inside Parker's Motion Planner / 6K Terminal and the GV-Series tools.

Key deliverables:
• Establish the Servo Controller, and encoder feedback for the first axis.
• Create and download a clean, commented 6K configuration file I can reuse for the second axis.
After establishing a basic movement of the servo motor, I want a program to be developed that will use a Joystick to control the movement of each servo. There are 3 analog and 2 digital signals from the joystick that will be needed to be incorporated in the program for resulting operation.
• Execute basic moves and fault-clear tests to confirm everything behaves as expected.
• Leave me with a concise checklist so I can replicate the steps when I bring the second axis online.

I will be standing at the cabinet, ready to move jumpers or swap cables while you drive the keyboard. If you have first-hand experience commissioning Parker 6K/GV6 systems and can hand over well-documented code plus practical guidance, I’m ready to get started.
