Roblox Survival Mechanics Scripting
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
Our team already has the core world and visual assets in place; what we are missing is the Lua fire-power that turns it all into a living survival-adventure. The job centres on scripting gameplay mechanics inside Roblox Studio using Luau.
Scope of work
• Write clean, modular scripts that cover the fundamental survival loop: player states (health, hunger, thirst), environmental hazards, basic inventory, and progression events.
• Integrate these systems seamlessly with our existing assets and UI placeholders.
• Keep everything well-commented so designers with limited coding knowledge can tweak values later on.
Deliverable
A fully functioning prototype place file plus separate ModuleScripts that we can drop into future maps, backed by concise setup documentation.
Acceptance criteria
• No visible errors or warnings in the Roblox output window.
• Mechanics behave consistently in both solo and multiplayer test sessions.
• All public functions and key variables are documented.
Familiarity with Roblox DataStores, RemoteEvents, and Roblox Studio’s new “Profiles” workflow will be a bonus, but not mandatory.
If you enjoy crafting engaging survival loops and you write tidy, readable Lua, you’ll fit right in.
