Roblox PvP Combat Game Development
Budget: $200 – $300 USD
I’m building a new Roblox title inspired by the frantic, arena-style action of Encounters (see reference: https://www.roblox.com/tr/games/7499189111/Encounters-Fighting). The heart of this project is a polished, skill-based Player-vs-Player combat system that feels tight on both PC and mobile.
Combat Goals
• Real-time, latency-tolerant PvP matchmaking
• Precise hit-detection, knock-back, dashes, parries and aerial recoveries reminiscent of platform fighters
• Balanced movesets and cooldown management that encourage counter-play
• Map hazards, dynamic platforms and clear visual feedback for damage and KO conditions
Scope & Milestones
1. Core prototype: fundamental movement, camera and attack logic in Roblox Studio (Lua).
2. Alpha build: matchmaking lobby, 2 playable characters, 1 arena, basic UI/HUD, mobile controls pass.
3. Beta balance pass: expanded character roster, VFX/SFX polish, analytics hooks.
4. Release candidate: optimisation for phone & desktop, QA bug-fixing, deployment pack, technical documentation.
What I’ll review in your proposal
• Links to live or portfolio Roblox projects demonstrating multiplayer or combat mechanics.
• A brief note on how you would tackle hit-registration and cross-platform input parity.
Please keep the focus on past work; detailed GDDs can wait until we shortlist. If the above excites you and you have shipped PvP experiences before, let’s talk timelines and get this arena brawl ready for players.
