Roblox City
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m developing a Roblox experience that blends an open-world city-life simulator with classic adventure objectives. Players will drop into a vibrant urban map where they can:
• Fully customise their avatar (skins, clothing, accessories).
• Purchase land or apartments, then build and decorate them block-by-block.
• Earn, spend and trade a virtual currency through jobs, quests and a player-run marketplace.
Your task is to take this concept from design doc to a playable Roblox game. That means scripting core systems in Lua, modelling a mid-sized city hub, and wiring together UI, data-stores and UX flows that keep progression smooth and secure. I’ve already outlined quests, NPC dialogue trees and the initial economy balance; you’ll translate that into working code and assets.
Acceptance criteria
– One seamless public server that supports at least 20 concurrent players without noticeable lag.
– Functional character-customisation menu saving to DataStore.
– Construction system that lets users place, rotate and delete parts on owned plots, with server-side validation.
– Economy loop (jobs, shops, taxes, trading) tied to a single in-game currency.
– Polished tutorials and at least two adventure quest lines guiding new players through the above features.
Please share links to previous Roblox projects—especially anything featuring building mechanics or complex economies—along with a rough timeframe for alpha delivery.
