Civil Works Quantity Surveyor Needed
Budget: $25 – $50 CAD
I’m about to kick off a sizeable civil-engineering job and need a seasoned quantity surveyor to keep the numbers, materials, and programme under tight control. The scope covers earthworks, drainage, and structural concrete, so accuracy and a proactive eye on risk are essential.
Your brief is three-fold:
• Produce a clear, defensible cost estimate that can stand up to review by both my finance team and the client’s auditor.
• Prepare a detailed material take-off, broken down by work package, that links directly to the bill of quantities.
• Oversee cost-related project management tasks during delivery—cash-flow forecasts, variation pricing, and cost-to-complete reports.
Everything must align with our local regulations, yet also reference international standards and the usual industry-specific codes we’re contractually bound to (think FIDIC clauses and ISO measurement methods). If you already work in CostX, Cubit, or similar BIM-enabled software, you’ll slot straight into our workflow.
Deliverables are complete when the estimate, take-off sheets, and the first two cost reports have been signed off by my team and meet the stated codes. I’m ready to move quickly once I see examples of comparable civil works you’ve quantified.
