Rhino3D Voronoi Facade Creation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I already have a clean .3dm model of the building ready for you. What I need now is a Voronoi treatment that wraps the entire outer surface, leaving the original geometry untouched. Please generate a coarse pattern—fewer, larger cells—with an irregular polygonal character rather than uniform hexagons, so the result reads organic but still bold.
I work in Rhino3D myself, so feel free to rely on Grasshopper or any native Rhino workflow you prefer; just keep everything parametric so I can adjust cell size later. Place the new geometry on its own clearly named layer and trim it so it sits flush to the façade without stray fragments.
Deliverables
• Updated .3dm file with the Voronoi surface applied on a separate layer
• The Grasshopper definition (or script) used to generate the pattern
• Two or three viewport screenshots—one overall and one close-up—so I can quickly verify edge quality and cell scaling
Acceptance
• Pattern covers all exterior faces with no gaps or overlaps
• Voronoi cells remain consistently coarse in scale across the model
• File opens in Rhino 7 without missing references
Once everything checks out, I’ll handle the rest of the documentation and rendering on my end.
