Long-Range RFID Reader Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need help designing a long-range reader that can reliably interrogate both HDX and FDX tags such as is used in animal tracking. Typical solutions have very short read range so we are looking for a solution that goes beyond typical reading range. This could be a fully analog solution or some hybrid solution. I need someone that has some previous experience with similar readers.
The first step will be just to propose a solution including the overall architecture (block diagram) and selection of the key components. The emphasis should be on long-range reading (30cm to 40cm) and ideally with some documentation (simulations or reference designs or anything) that shows that such a design architecture should be able to reach the target distances.
Once we have the design accepted, this will lead to many more steps to fully design, build and test the product, but for now please make a quote (time & cost) for just the first step. In your proposal, please explain in details your previous experience with HDX/FDX readers (or low frequency RFID readers), otherwise your proposal will not be considered.
