Build a short range tracker for frisbee disc distance measuring

I want to pay someone to build a thin device that I can stick onto the bottom of a frisbee disc (I play Ultimate Frisbee) and then have that device light enough that I can still throw the disc - but the disc would land after thrown, and then send some kind of communication signal back to my phone or watch using RFID or Wifi or something - and then it measures the distance between the computer device (phone or watch) and the frisbee (with the beacon on it).

This way it can always be found, and we can measure how long I am throwing the disc each time - which is good for the sport.
