Underground Precast Tank Calculations

Job ID: 39897058

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need complete structural calculations for a small-scale underground precast concrete tank that will hold under 10,000 litres of potable water. The design must show that the tank can safely resist soil pressure, hydrostatic uplift, and day-to-day service loads once it is installed below grade.

Please include:

• the governing design assumptions and load combinations you apply
• sizing of the precast walls, floor, and cover slab, with reinforcement layout and bar schedules
• checks against cracking and serviceability limits appropriate to a water-retaining concrete structure
• any detailing notes that the precaster or site contractor will require for manufacturing, lifting, and installation

I am comfortable working to either ACI, Eurocode, or an equivalent internationally recognised code—just state which one you adopt and reference it throughout the calculation set. Deliver the final package as a clearly laid-out PDF; editable sheets (Mathcad, Excel, or similar) and a simple 2D CAD or Revit view of the tank would be a welcome bonus but are not strictly essential.

Accuracy and clarity are what I value most: when your numbers and sketches let a precast yard start fabricating without follow-up questions, the job is done.
