Surface Area Takeoff from Revit
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I will share a Revit (.rvt) model and need an accurate take-off that tells me exactly how many square feet of surface area require a special coating. Your task is to open the file, isolate every surface flagged for that finish, measure it, and give me a clear, verifiable total.
Please work directly in Revit (or a compatible quantity-survey tool such as Navisworks or CostX if you prefer) so your numbers can be traced back to model elements. I do not need any design changes—only the quantified data.
Deliverables
• A brief methodology note so I understand how you filtered and calculated the areas
• A spreadsheet and a PDF summary showing:
- Total square footage requiring the coating
- Breakdown by building element or level (where applicable)
• Screenshots or marked-up views that back up the figures
