Steel Residential Structural Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to move from concept to construction on a new residential building and need a complete structural design produced in steel. You’ll take my architectural layout (PDF/DWG) and develop all structural calculations, member sizing, connection details, and fully coordinated drawings suitable for permit submission and fabrication.
Key points:
• Building type: Residential (single-family or small multi-unit—final layout supplied on award)
• Primary material: Steel framing throughout; integrate concrete only where code or economy dictates
• Codes & standards: Match my local jurisdiction (IBC-based) plus AISC / ASCE requirements
• Deliverables: stamped calculation package (PDF), plan/section/elevation drawings (DWG + PDF), connection schedules, and a concise design summary I can share with the architect and GC
• Collaboration: responsive to two rounds of mark-ups so the set is permit-ready
If you regularly model in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, or Tekla Structures and can issue clean, well-organized drawings from Revit or AutoCAD, I’d like to hear how soon you can start and the timeframe you need to finalize the package.
