Softwood Timber Wall Design

Job ID: 40360700

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

I’ve drafted concept plans for a 128 m² timber-frame house that will sit behind a concrete-block outer leaf. Now I need the wall framing translated into a build-ready structural package using softwood studs.

Scope
• Basic design only—focus on the key load-bearing wall elements.
• Roof and floor systems are already covered elsewhere; this commission is walls alone.

What I expect to receive
• Plan and elevation drawings (PDF & DWG) showing stud layout, plate sizes, lintels, posts, hold-downs and connection points.
• A concise member schedule specifying softwood grades, dimensions and centres.
• Supporting calculations or structural notes demonstrating compliance with Eurocode 5 / BS 5268 (or your local equivalent) so Building Control can sign off.
* liceneses approval to use for future projects.

Acceptance criteria
• Dimensions align with the supplied 128 m² footprint.
• All load paths, openings and lateral bracing clearly resolved.
• Documentation clear enough for on-site carpenters to follow without guesswork.

I’ll forward the concept PDFs and CAD backgrounds as soon as we agree on the workflow. Let me know which tools you plan to use—AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, SkyCiv, Robot, or similar—and how quickly you can turn the package around.
