Scan to BIM Modeling
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a complete point cloud and mesh model generated from RealityCapture, and I now need it converted into an accurate, well-organized BIM model. The project features a simple small-scale site intended mainly for academic/study purposes, but it includes an organic steel structure with curved geometry and tensile roof elements, so experience with scan-to-BIM and freeform modeling is highly important. The scope is strictly focused on 3D BIM modeling at this stage — no clash detection or quantity take-offs are required.
You may work in Revit, Rhino + Grasshopper, Archicad, BlenderBIM, or any industry-standard BIM workflow, provided the final files remain fully editable and properly organized. Accuracy is critical; the BIM model must closely follow the source point cloud/mesh geometry and maintain correct dimensions and proportions throughout the project.
Deliverables expected:
• Native editable BIM file (.rvt, .ifc, .pln, or equivalent) with proper organization of levels, families, layers, and structural elements
• IFC and/or NWC export for coordination and review
• Clean 3D views, sections, and screenshots/PDF sheets for geometry verification before final delivery
• A detailed workflow report explaining the modeling process and software used
• Screen recording or video walkthrough explaining the BIM workflow step-by-step and how the model was built from the point cloud/mesh data
• A final cinematic/rendered presentation video showcasing the completed BIM model from multiple angles with smooth walkthroughs and professional visual output
The source data currently includes:

• Point cloud / scan-based geometry
• Complex curved steel and roof structures
