Revit DA Plans for Extension
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
Simple timber-framed extension to single storey double brick home.
I already have the extension model built in Revit and all existing drawings are available in digital and print format. What I now need is to add dimensions and notes to the drawings to create a DA package that my local council will accept.
Scope
• Convert and refine the current Revit model into site plan, floor plans, elevations, and sections. Demo plans are already complete.
• Clearly distinguish demolition, and new-build elements in keeping with renovation standards.
One copy of a site plan drawn to a scale of not less
than 1:200 or 1:100.
The Site plan must be accurate and fully dimensioned
and include:
• Contours at 500mm intervals.
• All existing buildings and structures that impact on
the application.
• The finished floor level of the dwelling and
garage or carport must be indicated with a datum
point taken from the kerb at the centre of the
driveway crossover.
• Proposed setbacks from boundaries indicated.
• Lot dimensions and north point.
• House number, street name and lot number.
• Vehicle driveways and access points.
• The street verge, including footpaths, street trees,
crossovers, truncations, power poles, any services
and the location of any access restrictions such as
road islands adjacent to the site.
• The location of any easement or piped services
within the site and any sewer or sewer connection
point servicing the site.
One copy of drawings drawn to a scale of not less than
1:100 including:
• Floor plans.
• Room layout including location of walls, door,
windows with dimensions and the proposed
use of each room
• Elevations (front, side and rear plans of structure).
• Cross section of building.
• Location dimensions and details of all openings
including sill height above finished floor level.
• Apply the council notes and requirements and include any mandatory notes or schedules (site, window, room finishes, etc.).
Deliverables (Revit only)
1. Native .rvt file with all sheets set up
2. PDF set ready for submission
3. DWG export of each sheet for the engineer.
Acceptance will be based on: all items above present, correct use of line-weights and hatching to satisfy renovation/demolition requirements, and no automatic warnings when the model is audited.
I’d like the first submission within two weeks, so please allow time for reviewing before final issue. Demonstrated experience preparing DA or renovation dwgs in Revit. Experience in completing renovations for existing double brick with timber framed addition. Experience in Australia a bonus.
