Revit Pipe and Duct Axis Analysis

Job ID: 40312494

Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD

I need assistance analyzing pipes and ducts from a Revit system family.

Requirements:
- Analyze both pipes and ducts.
- Define local object axis with specific criteria (not automatically).
- Ensure Z-axis is along the length of the object.

Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Revit, especially with system families.
- Experience in pipe and duct analysis.
- Understanding of axis assignment and local object orientation.

We use Revit for duct layout and piping layout. Those items are system families and assume the World Coordinate System (WCS) which means XYZ are always the same direction. Which is great for creation of the items in Revit, but I need to get them out in IFC and converted to another type of object. Mainly a pipe in our system. This XYZ issue means pipes running up and down convert correctly, but pipes running side to side convert of the same axis, so I get a tiny short piece of pipe.

Is there a way in Revit to tell System families to use to Local object coordinate system, not global?
