Revit/BIM Expert for Engineering Workflow Transition
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
We are seeking an experienced Revit/BIM expert to support the transition of our engineering office from AutoCAD-based workflows to a fully integrated BIM environment using Autodesk Revit.
The objective is to establish efficient, standardized, and scalable Revit workflows tailored to our engineering needs (MEP-focused). This includes setting up templates, libraries, and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and productivity across projects.
Scope of Work:
• Assess current AutoCAD workflows, standards, and deliverables
• Develop Revit templates (views, sheets, view templates, filters, etc.)
• Create and organize Revit family libraries (MEP components)
• Define BIM standards aligned with industry best practices (naming, parameters, LOD, etc.)
• Set up project structure in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) if required
• Assist with model coordination workflows (clash detection, linking strategy, shared coordinates)
• Provide guidance on model segmentation and file management for large projects
• Train team members (engineers, technicians) on Revit usage and best practices
• Support initial pilot project(s) during the transition phase
Requirements:
• Proven experience in BIM implementation and Revit setup (preferably in MEP engineering)
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD-to-Revit transition strategies
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Model Coordination, and collaboration workflows
• Ability to create structured, user-friendly templates and standards
• Experience delivering training sessions and documentation
• Familiarity with Dynamo or automation tools is a strong asset
Deliverables:
• Fully functional Revit template(s)
• Standardized BIM guidelines/documentation
• Organized family library
• Training materials and/or sessions
• Support during initial implementation phase
Goal:
Enable a smooth, practical transition from 2D drafting to a coordinated BIM workflow, improving efficiency, reducing errors, and supporting future scalability (including clash detection and digital coordination).
