Residential Structural Design Support
Budget: $10 – $3,000 USD
I am midway through building a residential property and need a licensed structural engineer to step in now, during the construction phase, and finalise all remaining structural design and analysis tasks. The architectural drawings are complete and the contractor is on-site, but several elements still require stamped calculations, reinforcement details, and any adjustments that arise from field conditions.
Your main focus will be to review what has already been built, verify that it matches the intended load paths, and then prepare any updated plans, connection details, and calculation packages the local authority or my lender may request. I will send you the current drawings, soil report, and photos from the site. We can coordinate via Zoom and email, but you should also be comfortable marking up PDFs and issuing clear, construction-ready sketches.
Deliverables I expect:
• Updated structural drawings in PDF + CAD (DWG or Revit)
• Full calculation booklet, stamped if you are licensed in my state
• Quick-turn field fixes: sketches or memos for unforeseen site issues
• A concise compliance letter referencing the relevant residential code (IRC 2021)
Because we are already under construction, turnaround time and clarity are critical. If you have experience slotting into live residential projects and can communicate directly with the GC when needed, let’s talk.
