Residential Structural Design Consultant
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m finalising the design and planning of a new residential building and need a structural engineer who can validate and refine my concepts. Your expertise will guide the load-bearing layout, beam and column sizing, and foundation selection so everything complies with local building codes and best-practice safety margins.
You’ll take my architectural floor plans (DWG and PDF) and deliver a full structural package using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS or SAP2000—whichever you prefer—as long as the output is clear and ready for permitting.
Deliverables
• Structural calculations for gravity and lateral loads
• Reinforcement schedules and material take-offs
• Framing and foundation drawings (CAD + PDF) annotated for contractors
• Brief summary report explaining design assumptions and code references
Acceptance criteria
The calculations must close on all load cases with factors of safety per the governing code, drawings must be dimensionally consistent with the architect’s set, and all files should be editable.
