Residential Structural Analysis Required
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m moving forward with the structural design of a new residential building and need a seasoned civil engineer to handle the full structural analysis. Your work will inform my architectural team and local permitting office, so clarity and code-compliance are critical.
Scope
• Analyse gravity and lateral loads for a standard two-storey residential structure.
• Provide member sizing, load paths, and connection details in line with current local building codes.
• Deliver calculation sheets (PDF) and editable structural drawings in AutoCAD or Revit, plus a concise summary report highlighting key assumptions and safety factors.
What I’ll supply
• Architectural floor plans in DWG/PDF.
• Site information, soil report, and any existing surveys.
Expectations
• Use recognised software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro—whichever you’re most comfortable with.
• Flag any clashes or architectural revisions required to maintain structural integrity.
• Be responsive during at least one round of follow-up questions from my architect and permit reviewer.
Timeline
I’d like the first draft calculations within two weeks, with a final polished package a week later.
