Residential Construction Structural Support
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am in the middle of building a new residential property and need a qualified structural engineer to step in for the construction phase. The job focuses on two critical areas: the foundation work and the structural framing. Your expertise will ensure that everything already designed is executed safely and in full compliance with local codes.
Here is what I expect from you:
• Foundation work – Review and, when necessary, refine the current footing and slab details, double-check re-bar schedules, and confirm that soil bearing assumptions still align with on-site conditions.
• Structural framing – Verify beam and column sizes, connection details, and load paths as the framing goes up. I may call on you for quick revisions to shop drawings and for field fixes if any unexpected conditions arise.
All calculations, mark-ups, and any revised drawings should be delivered in PDF and their native files (AutoCAD or Revit are both acceptable). Please be comfortable with standard analysis software such as STAAD or SAP2000 so we can move quickly if a recalculation is required.
