REVIT/CAD Operator for BIM As-Built Updates
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
Building Information Modeling, As-Built Review/Update, and Computer Aided Design – REVIT / CAD Operator.
The purpose of this CLIN is to provide continuous assistance to the facility in its efforts to update its As-Built REVIT Model and AutoCAD files of the facility. Tasks included under this CLIN may include, but are not limited to:
• Revising Auto-desk Suite files of the facility to include construction updates, changes, and other discoveries of as-built conditions. Information for update will be provided, but may be sourced in a variety of ways, including contractor/subcontractor shop drawings, pictures, verbal/written accounts, etc.
• Working with Project Engineers to extract or create drawings, sketches, or representations of existing conditions or new required work.
• Working within the model to assign and track space, including room properties, naming, dimensions, service-level ownership, and other data points. Create and maintain space- specific drawing sheets.
• Work with VA personnel to create and populate Revit models from 2D/AutoCAD drawings for buildings that are not currently modeled.
• Work within Autodesk BIM Collaborate environment (contractor-maintained license) to assist or facilitate model update, project design, and as-built efforts.
Qualifications: Personnel for this CLIN shall have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in both building modeling (specifically Autodesk Revit) and computer aided drafting (specifically AutoCAD).Personnel shall be well versed with all building disciplines and shall be familiar and comply with the VA national modeling and drawing standards found on the VA Technical Information Library. Personnel shall have a sufficient understanding of building and construction so as to be able to identify conflicts or incongruities and be able to question and resolve potential discrepancies.
Schedule: Work for this CLIN generally represents one FTEE and will be mostly linear throughout the PoP.
Delivery product / performance of work: Tasks will be assigned and monitored by the VA’s BIM/CAD Technician, with specific progress milestones or deliverables will be established by discussion and approved by the COR. CLIN requires minimally a weekly meeting/discussion with the VA’s Tech, andreview of files/tasks/work quality. Work can generally be facilitated by onsite VA personnel or by another CLIN, and otherwise executed remotely.
