Design Cladding for two Balcony Beams

Executive Summary

I am seeking an architect or architectural designer to develop a photorealistic, to-scale design for cladding applied to two existing balcony structural beams. The assignment is limited to visual and technical development of cladding elements only. No structural modifications or broader façade redesign are required.

This assignment follows a staged workflow consisting of concept visualization, technical development, and procurement specification. So deliverables are


1. Visualizations of two concepts
• Square accent element expression
• Organic profile expression

2. Identifications of usable prefabricated parts

3. Technical detail drawing for the selected concept


The scope of work is strictly limited to the balcony.

No redesign or modification of other façade areas or structural extensions is permitted.

From plinth top to underside of balcony beam:

Column cladding may start on plinth and may be fabricated in two parts with internal cavity approx. 16 cm diameter.

• No balcony in front of third window
• Right side remains part of light well with no slab
• Single horizontal beam extends beyond balcony footprint toward the house
• Existing stainless steel railing remains unchanged
• No railing extensions
• No roof above balcony
• Building is single story
• Balcony located at first-floor height
Accurate depiction of these conditions is mandatory before decorative development.
