About the Role
Paul Group Virtual is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly reputable Architecture Firm based in Brisbane, Queensland. The firm specializes in multi-residential, high-rise, and mixed-use developments across South East Queensland and is seeking a Licensed Architect with proven Australian high-rise experience to join their team in a full-time offshore capacity.
This is a long-term position supporting Australian projects and working directly with senior architects and project directors. You will be integrated into the team's workflow, attending coordination meetings, and producing construction-ready documentation to Australian standards.

Architect
Minimum 2+ years of architectural experience
Proven AUSTRALIAN high-rise and multi-residential project experience (mandatory)
Advanced Revit proficiency (minimum 2 years producing full documentation sets)
Portfolio demonstrating Australian construction documentation (townhouses, apartments, high-rise)
Full-time availability (40 hours per week)
Applications without multi-residential drawing samples and Australian project experience will not be considered.

Project Scope
You will be working on:

High-rise apartment developments (10+ storeys)
Medium-density residential buildings (4-9 storeys)
Mixed-use residential/commercial projects
Townhouse and multi-dwelling developments

You must be confident managing projects from concept design through to construction documentation in Revit, producing complete working drawing sets compliant with Australian standards (NCC/BCA).

Key Responsibilities

Produce high-quality architectural documentation using Revit
Develop accurate design models compliant with Australian building codes (NCC/BCA)
Coordinate consultant documentation (structural, hydraulic, mechanical, fire services)
Ensure compliance with Queensland Development Code and local planning schemes
Manage project timelines aligned with Australian construction programs
Maintain drawing accuracy, annotation standards, and documentation quality
Participate in online coordination meetings with Australian project teams
Resolve design and documentation queries efficiently
Prepare permit-ready documentation for DA and CDC approvals


Technical Requirements
MUST HAVE:

Advanced Revit proficiency (5+ years minimum)
Experience producing complete Australian working drawing sets (architectural plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules)
Strong construction detailing knowledge (facades, balconies, podiums, rooftops, stairwells, fire-rated construction)
Deep understanding of NCC/BCA and Queensland building regulations
Experience with multi-disciplinary coordination (structural, MEP integration)
Ability to produce clear, well-annotated, metric drawings with accurate lineweights and Australian drafting conventions

HIGHLY REGARDED:

Experience with Enscape, Twinmotion, or Lumion (visualization)
Familiarity with ArchiCAD, SketchUp, or AutoCAD (secondary platforms)
Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection
Experience working remotely with Australian architecture firms
