Modular A-Frame Cabin Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
You must develop a full architectural and technical drawing package for a modular hunting cabin with an A-frame roof.
The cabin is built from modules, each:
• Width: 4 m
• Length: 1.2 m
Types of modules:
1. Start module (door + window)
2. Intermediate modules
3. Final module (one window)
Total cabin size:
• Length: 6 m
• Width: 4 m
• Height: ~4 m (A-frame peak)
• Front terrace: width 4 m, depth 1 m
The cabin does not need to comply with Norwegian building codes — but drawings must be professional.
2. Construction and Materials
Framing
• Structural timber: 45×145 mm
• Walls and roof: same frame thickness
• Base frame: impregnated wood
Sheathing
• Exterior: 15 mm OSB
• Interior walls: wooden paneling
Insulation
• 150 mm mineral wool insulation
• External wind barrier membrane (Tyvek-type)
Roof
Two options (both must be supported):
1. Metal roof
2. Bitumen felt roof
Windows & Doors
• Standard EU sizes
• Start module: door + window
• Intermediate: pass-through sections
• Final module: one window
3. Required Deliverables
3.1. Full technical drawings
• Floor plans
• Elevations
• Sections
• Detail drawings
• Module diagrams
• Assembly diagrams
• Minimum 3 visualizations (front, side, interior)
3.2. Detailed connection node design
Freelancer must independently design:
❗ All inter-module connection systems:
• structural joints
• roof-to-wall connections
• horizontal/vertical module joints
• OSB sheathing connections
• bracing systems
• A-frame rigidity components
• roof nodes for both roofing types
All nodes must be provided with dimensions.
3.3. Assembly package
• step-by-step assembly diagram
• bill of materials (BOM)
• fastener list
• timber profile list
• 3D master model
4. Submission Format
• PDF (drawings)
• DWG / DXF (mandatory)
• JPG / PNG (visuals)
• 3D model (SKP / FBX / OBJ)
