Modern 1800-sqft Single-Slope Home Design
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
This project centres on a new-build, single-slope-roof home that will serve as my primary residence. I want a clean, modern aesthetic inside and out and roughly 1,800 sq ft of conditioned space. An open floor plan is essential—living, dining, and kitchen should flow together with plenty of natural light spilling in from the high side of the roof.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A fully-dimensioned floor plan that honours the 1,800 sq ft target and showcases the open layout while still carving out private zones for bedrooms, baths, storage, and utility.
• Exterior elevations and at least one section highlighting the single-slope roof, roof pitch, and any clerestory glazing you recommend to maximise daylight.
• Roof and foundation plans suitable for coordination with local engineers.
• A simple 3-D model or rendered perspectives (SketchUp, Revit, or similar) so I can visualise massing, material palettes, and window placement before we finalise construction drawings.
• Deliverables in PDF for review plus an editable CAD/Revit file set for hand-off to my builder.
Local code research, energy-efficient wall assemblies, and suggestions for modern façades—metal, fibre-cement, or wood—would all be appreciated.
