Minimalist Tropical Apartment Layout

I’m ready to move ahead with a complete interior layout for a 2,400 sq. ft family apartment in Mombasa. The overriding goal is to maximise natural airflow—especially through the living areas and both master bedrooms—while still allowing generous sunlight and keeping the space comfortable in our coastal heat and humidity.

Key spaces you’ll organise: two master suites, a show kitchen paired with a separate dirty kitchen, a balcony, plus a laundry-and-drying yard. I’m after a clean, minimalist look that still feels distinctly tropical, so think uncluttered lines, low-maintenance finishes and smart placement of openings, breezeways or louvers that let the wind move freely without sacrificing privacy.

Deliverables I need from you:
• A detailed floor plan with furniture layout and clear ventilation paths
• Section or elevation sketches showing how daylight and air will flow
• A concise materials & finish palette suited to coastal moisture and salt air
