Home Extension Architectural Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m moving ahead with a residential extension and now need a complete set of architectural drawings to secure approvals and guide the builder on-site. I already have my current house plans in digital format and will share the file package immediately, so you can layer the new work on top of accurate, scaled information.
Scope
• Develop revised floor plans, elevations, sections and a roof plan that clearly integrate the new addition with the existing structure.
• Show all load-bearing walls and the revised roof structure in enough detail for both planning review and the engineer’s sign-off.
• Indicate door and window schedules, basic finishes and any notes needed for trades to price and construct confidently.
Deliverables
1. PDF set ready for council / permitting.
2. Editable CAD files (DWG or RVT).
3. A brief revision round to fine-tune once we review the first draft.
I work in metric, prefer drawings produced in AutoCAD, Revit or an equivalent mainstream tool, and need the first pass within one week of kickoff. Let me know your experience with residential extensions and which software you plan to use, and feel free to attach a sample sheet from a similar job. Knowledge of AUS standard (NCC Equivelent) is a must.
