Convert AutoCAD Plan to Revit
Budget: $14 – $30 NZD
I have an existing architectural floor plan in AutoCAD (.dwg) and I need it rebuilt inside Revit as a clean, well-organised 2D plan view. No 3D modelling is required—just an accurate reproduction of what is already there so I can continue design development directly in Revit.
Key points
• Keep all geometry true to scale and align it to the Revit grid system.
• Use the appropriate Revit categories so walls, doors, windows and other elements read correctly in the Properties browser.
• Maintain line weights and linetypes that will print clearly from Revit.
Deliverables
1. Revit (.rvt) file saved in or compatible with Revit 2020 or later.
2. A plotted PDF of the plan at 1:100 (or the original drawing scale) for quick review.
A quick turnaround is appreciated; once I send you the DWG and a screenshot of the desired sheet layout, let me know if anything else is needed to start.
