Commercial Shop Structural Engineering Package
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have preliminary architectural drawings for a set of commercial-use shop buildings and now need the full structural package so the project can move to permit submission and construction. The scope spans three priority areas—foundations and footings, roof design, and the complete framing/connection system for both wood and steel members.
Foundations must include footing geometry, concrete strength, re-bar schedules, anchor-bolt sizing, and embed plate details that comply with the latest IBC/ACI provisions for the site’s wind, seismic, and soil parameters. For the roof, I need engineered truss or rafter layouts with ridge beam sizing and deflection checks, all designed for the local snow and wind loads. Wall, beam, and column sizing—plus every connection that ties them together—should be developed for standard lumber as well as any required structural steel so the contractor can erect tall walls and clear spans without change-orders.
You are free to use the analysis and drafting tools you prefer—RISA, STAAD, ETABS, Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla, or equivalent—as long as the final output is clean and traceable. Coordinate with the existing prelim set; if any architectural dimensions or load paths are in conflict, flag them so we can resolve early.
Deliverables (all in both PDF and original CAD/analysis formats):
• Signed/sealed structural drawings ready for permit review
• Full calculation package with load summaries and code references
• Connection and re-bar schedules, material call-outs, and general notes
Acceptance: The municipality’s plan reviewer must be able to replicate the load path and verify code compliance without requesting additional structural information.
