Commercial Building Structural Safety Analysis

Job ID: 39887134

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a licensed structural engineer to carry out a thorough safety-focused analysis of a single-story commercial building of a little over 2,000 sq ft located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The structure is already standing and in active use; the goal is to confirm its current integrity rather than to design any new work.

A site visit will be required so you can visually inspect framing, connections, and load-bearing elements, verify that everything still complies with the Ohio Building Code, and flag any overstressed members or deterioration. I can provide existing floor plans and limited archive drawings, and I’ll arrange full access to the interior, roof, and mechanical areas.

Once your field review is complete, I will need a stamped engineering report that details your findings, cites the relevant code references, and—where deficiencies appear—recommends practical repair or reinforcement measures. Include photos, calculations (AutoCAD/SAP2000/Revit or similar), and a concise executive summary that I can share directly with ownership and the city if required.

Please outline your proposed timeline for the visit, the analysis methods you prefer, and the format in which you deliver your final report. Feel free to suggest any additional tests (e.g., non-destructive evaluation) if you think they are warranted.
