CArchitectural Draftsperson Wanted

Architectural Draftsperson Needed – Residential & Light Commercial Projects (Remote OK)
Project Type: Ongoing work
Location: Remote (Canberra-based applicants preferred, but not essential)
Industry: Residential Construction, Knockdown Rebuilds, Light Commercial Fitouts
Software: AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), SketchUp, and/or ArchiCAD

We are a dynamic residential construction firm based in Canberra, Australia, specialising in knockdown rebuilds, custom homes, and light commercial projects. Our small but agile team is expanding, and we’re seeking a talented Architectural Draftsperson to support our design and construction documentation pipeline.
Scope of Work
You’ll be responsible for:
Creating accurate architectural drawings and working drawings from concept designs or hand sketches
Drafting floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans
Producing documentation for DA/CDC submissions (NSW/ACT familiarity is a bonus)
Coordinating with engineers, certifiers, and builders
Updating existing designs to comply with council or builder feedback
Occasionally assisting with 3D modelling or presentation drawings (bonus)
Ideal Candidate
3+ years experience in drafting (residential or commercial)
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Experience with Australian building codes and standards (especially BCA/NCC)
Familiarity with DA/CDC approval processes in NSW or ACT (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Able to turn around projects promptly with high accuracy
Clear communicator (written and verbal)
