Basement Smoke Ventilation Layout
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I already have a set of layout drawings that mark out where the eleven axial fans should sit across the 37 m × 27 m footprint of Basement 1 and Basement 2. What I need now is your help turning those mark-ups into a fully detailed, code-compliant smoke–extraction package.
The core of the assignment is straightforward: confirm the proposed fan positions, size the very small amount of ductwork those fans will connect to, and show all dimensions, offsets and clearances so the installer can fabricate and fix without coming back with questions. Because the space is tight, I prefer the duct dimensions to stay flexible—use whatever cross-section best fits each run once you have checked airflow and velocity, as long as you remain within standard sheet-metal sizes.
You will receive:
• My existing fan-placement drawing (DWG) and the accompanying detailed duct layout plan.
• Basic performance data for the eleven axial units (volume, pressure, motor kW).
Your deliverables:
• Updated plan and section drawings (DWG + PDF) showing exact fan mounts, duct sizes, transitions, supports and access panels.
• A short design note justifying the selected duct dimensions and confirming they meet the performance requirement.
• A lightweight bill of materials listing each duct section length and any special fittings.
Please keep the drawings clean and ready for immediate issue to site, following common MEP layering standards in AutoCAD or Revit—whichever is quicker for you.
