AS1100 Balcony Roof Drafting
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need a set of professional drawings for a large balcony roof built from timber and/or steel framing. The structure must comply with AS 1100 drawing standards and meet all relevant sections of the National Construction Code. The aesthetic I want is clean-lined and modern, and the finished roof will be clad in Laserlite polycarbonate sheets.
The job covers the full drafting package—plans, elevations, sections and connection details—at a level suitable to lodge with my local certifier for a building permit. I will supply site photos, existing house drawings (PDF/DWG) and the balcony dimensions the moment we start. You will translate those into compliant, well-documented drawings that clearly set out member sizes, fixings, water runoff, flashing details and any bracing required.
Preferred tools are AutoCAD or Revit so I can revise later if needed, but any CAD platform that exports to DWG and PDF is fine. Please allow for one review cycle after the initial delivery so we can confirm NCC clauses are referenced correctly and the Laserlite installation guidelines are followed.
Deliverables
– DWG and PDF sheets, fully dimensioned and annotated
– A brief design report (PDF) summarising load assumptions and NCC references
– One revised issue incorporating my mark-ups
