Backup Generator Platform Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a structural engineer to create a detailed design for a backup power-generator platform that will supply emergency power to a residential building. These drawings would be for 1' elevation up to 10' elevation @ 1foot height increments. I am a metal goods manufacturer looking for shop drawings. I have some ideas and also have some designs we can use but need to have the plans remade in my business name, there are multiple projects to complete. The scope includes:
• Load analysis for the generator’s operating and seismic/wind conditions
• Selection of steel, concrete, or hybrid framing with clear justification
• Full construction drawings (plan, elevations, sections) ready for permit submission
• Connection details, anchor bolt layouts, and foundation sizing
• Calculation package stamped or formatted for local code review (IBC or national equivalent)
• A concise material take-off to help estimate construction costs
I will provide the generator model size/weight spec sheet, A brief check-in after the initial concept is essential so I can confirm clearances, routing for fuel and exhaust, and any vibration-isolation needs.
Deliver the final PDF drawings, editable source files (AutoCAD or Revit preferred), and the calculation report. Practical experience with residential standby systems and an eye for constructability will make the project run smoothly. It should be stamped by Florida state approved engineer for permitting. Thank you for your attention.
